These review books landed upon me on consecutive days, from the same publisher, so it makes sense to do a joint review.
Put simply, they are same-same-but-different in their intent: call upon the esoteric world to help guide and strengthen your everyday life. Both are engaging, earnest, practical, and full of positive spells & rituals, as well as acting as great workbooks for beginners.
As the titles suggest, Wren Maple’s book focuses more of spellcasting, including plenty of helpful information about the roles of herbs, crystals and stones, how to build a simple altar for your majick, and spells which cover the gamut from protection and deflection, success, health, relaxation and the more spiritual.
Aurora Kane’s tome is more about Goddess energy than spells, per se, and goes into great detail describing each of the Goddesses, their attributes and who and how to make offerings and call for help to.
Which book will draw you in will depend entirely on your sphere of interest. Both are eminently worthy in their own subject matter, and a great place to start for newcomers to such arcane subjects.
