Alice Cooper is back on the road doing the Ol’ Black Eyes is Back Tour supporting the 2019 EP release Breadcrumbs. Another sold out crowd welcomed his return to Indy. Fans young and old, many of which were donned in concert gear with full eye black makeup, packed the theatre. With no opening act, Alice started the show early as everyone was on their feet. The curtain dropped revealing the band and the gothic castle stage prop as they played “Feed My Frankenstein.” In true classic rock fashion, his band consisted of three guitarists, a bass player and a drummer. The master of macabre, Alice looked and sounded great throughout the night being the quintessential showman. Props accompanied every song, including limp babies, skulls, guillotine, swords, and a giant Frankenstein. Alice not only provided lead vocals, but also played the harmonica and maracas to complement the sound. Mid set everyone left the stage as Nita Strauss shredded her guitar solo. The crew returned with his classic “Roses on White Lace.” Alice completed the night with his smash hits “Under My Wheels” and “School’s Out.” His amazing career now spans 50 years. Seventy-one years young, Alice shows no signs of slowing down. The current tour continues well into 2020. The crowd witnessed the pioneer of shock-rock who continues to put on one of the best live shows. He remains an absolute must see for any fan of true rock and roll.
