LIVE: LP – February 27, 2019

Venue: Marathon Music Works

City: Nashville, TN

Date: February 27th, 2019

Review and Photographs by: Jacob Smith (www.jhs-photo.com)

On a night with multiple concerts going on across the city the house was full over at Marathon Music Works for everyone to have a chance to see LP perform. The opener, Georgi Kay got onto stage and helped to set the mood for the evening with a solo performance that had all the right chill vibes to get everyone ready for the main act of the evening. Her performance was the last for her as the supporting act on the Heart to Mouth tour with LP.

When Laura Pergolizzi better known as LP and her band arrived on the stage at Marathon Music Works it was almost a packed house. Immediately jumping into Dreamcatcher;  the first song off her new album ‘Heart to Mouth’; the power and presence was felt and held through their entire performance. Playing hits off of all of their previous releases they ensured a solid and powerful performance for their fans. Throughout the entire evening the intensity was felt and the crowd left extremely enraptured by what they had just witnessed. Going into this show I had little knowledge of LP and how she would perform live. After seeing her play to the room and maintain a extreme level of intensity from start to finish; I am a full time fan and encourage all to see her perform.

Setlist: Dreamcatcher – When We’re High – Dreamer – When I’m Over You – No Witness – Sex On Fire – The Power – Die for Your Love – Tightrope – One Night in the Sun – Girls Go Wild – Recovery – House on Fire – Paint It Black – Other People – Shaken – Special – Muddy Waters – Strange – Lost on You
