Harry Potter’s legions of ardent fans will already be familiar with the magical Diagon Alley – the secret magical location just off Charing Cross Road in London where the wizarding world go to purchase flying broomsticks and potion ingredients, eat No Melt Ice Cream, or attend a book signing by their favourite wizard author.
In this adorable scrapbook both sides of Diagon Alley are captured successfully – the Diagon Alley depicted in the incredibly successful book and movie series, and also the Diagon Alley which filmmakers had to construct down to the finest detail.
Film stills and photographs and illustrations vie with replica bus tickets and Gringotts Bank currency, a book mark from magical booksellers Flourish And Blotts, a popup map of the street, Quiddich scorecards and a fold-out edition of the Daily Prophet, with the text providing plenty of background on each establishment in the alley, both in front of and behind the cameras.
A must for wizarding fans, and a wonderful companion piece for the movies.
