Otep brought their Art of Dissent tour to The Concourse in Knoxville, TN, with a big message about the current political climate America. Frontwoman Otep Shamaya herself is no stranger to controversy, as she is well known for her outspoken nature about LGBT rights and other civil rights issues, even writing the band’s latest album KULT 45 about President Donald Trump. I had the chance to sit down with her before the show to hear her thoughts about the tour so far and how she hopes to leave an impact through her activism.
