CAST TO BRING ‘GREATEST HITS TOUR’ TO AUSTRALIA IN 2019
After two long years bunkered down in their hometown of Liverpool recording their latest record ‘Kicking Up The Dust’, 90’s Britpop legends Cast announce their return to Australia, with their ‘Greatest Hits Tour’ landing in 2019.
With six studio albums worth of platinum selling material under their belts, the UK four piece will be landing in Australia in February next year, where they’ll be performing a collection of top ten hits from 1995 to today
With shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, fans across the country can look forward to hits from the bands 20+ year history, including ‘Finetime’, ‘Alright’, ‘Sandstorm’, ‘Walkaway’ and ‘I’m So Lonely’.
“We’re all dead excited about getting over to Australia and playing live for the first time!” said John Power. “Can’t believe the band have never been over there before. I know we’re going to want to make up for lost time and show you all what a great live band we are, so I’m expecting the band to be on fire.”
Originally formed in 1992 from the ashes of two of the most legendary and lauded guitar bands of all time, The La’s and Shack, Cast released four albums, had ten top 10 singles and were described by Noel Gallagher as ‘a religious experience’ after seeing them live, before disbanding in 2001.
Their 1995 hit record ‘All Change’ became the biggest selling debut album of all time for Polydor Records, and helped the band secure fan bases around the world. A decade after splitting, the bands original line-up reunited with original producer John Leckie (Stone Roses, Radiohead, The Fall) for their new record ‘Troubled Times’.
Tickets are on sale Monday 05 November, from 10:00am AEDT www.mjrpresents.com
