Belle Game is touring the country to support their latest effort Fear/Nothing and that support included a recent stop at Detroit’s El Club, where we caught up with the band to experience a cool live show.  The fans that came out on a Wednesday night to check them out were excited when the band hit the stage without tons of fanfare or presentation.  The band rolled into their music and the fans near the stage swayed, sang, and got into the music and the scaled back stage presence and dug their heels in for what would be a great night of music.  Not overly familiar with the band (other than the videos I had seen) I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I found myself swaying and grooving along with the band and rest of the audience as I took in the musical landscape and digested the different tones and textures of the bands music.  The vocals seemed to ebb and flow with the music, swirling in the mix between the guitars and keyboards, while the drums kept the tempo of the show on track.  If you get the chance to catch them on this tour, or any other, I strongly recommend grabbing some tickets, a few friends, and getting out for a night full of fun and good tunes.
