Self-styled Norwegian Blues Brothers of Scandosleaze are on a “holy mission” on their third album: a mission dripping in sleazy sex, sweeaty leathers, nihilistic abandon and guitars that sound like they’ve time travelled from 1989.
Featuring Chris Damian Doll (lead vocals and guitar), Lazy Leather (lead guitar), C Slim (bass) and Lyle Starr (drums), these badass hombres are all about the decadence of the Motley Crue/ Guns n’ Roses era, and they embrace it with admirable fervour.
Next World War is suitably destructive – all apocalyptic guitars and screeching nastyness, Never Gonna Change is a big bold anthem, We Got Tonight’s slow burning fuse stands out amongst the too fast for love sleazyness, whilst Generation Kill and Sex Star Icon do exactly what they say on the tin.
Not for the faint of heart, Suicide Bombers have no clue what “political correctness” means, and wouldn’t give a damn if they did. This is a one-way hot rockin’ time machine back to the sleaziest time in rock.
