Deadloss Motherfuckin Superstar don’t need twenty tracks to scramble your brain with rock n’ roll belligerence, Swedish delinquency and in-your-face ballsout bravado, but that’s what they deliver here anyway.
Before you think, “overkill!” we can report that only the first six tracks comprise Meathooks Of Love. The rest are cherry-picked from previous releases Let T he Feeding Commence (2012), Fear Stalks The City (2005), Are You Ready To Die For…? (2003) and Living The Lifestyle (2000).
Comprised over the years of a cast of thousands (well, fourteen, anyway), it seems Deadloss MF Superstar have been at this for a while, but perhaps as a part time, fun project rather than banking their careers on rock n’ roll stardom!
It’s good fun though, and traverses a myriad of moods: Sweet Home Stockholm has a Stooges aesthetic to it; Turkmenistan is catchy as hell, Feelin’ Southern gets all moonshine rawk n’ roll on your arses, and Carnivorous Minds is as good as its title suggests, Kill Before You’re Killed is nihilistic death punk.
Occasionally manic and madcap like a hyperactive Supersuckers, Meathooks Of Love is a great place to start delving into the Deadloss MF Superstar universe.
