There is a new AOR – Melodic Rock label on the horizon… or is that Horyzon? New kids on the block Lions Pride Music has started releasing singles, EP, and compilations to generate a buzz around there roster of artists and the EP from Brazilian rockers Horyzon shot across my desk. If this three track disc is any indication, these guys are gonna do well. “I Believe In Love Again” kicks this disc off and it delivers with cool keyboards, awesome riffs and guitar solos, as well as vocals that blend well with the two. The rhythm section keeps time and the song flows nicely. “Fight For Your Dreams” is a bit mellower track, especially at the verse, but builds nicely at the chorus and bridge, giving this track bite. The blend of guitars, keyboards, and vocals sits well against a thumping bass and pounding drums. “Caroline” closes this short disc with a great track that blends power ballad with melodic rocker and gives us a cool vibe wrapped around the keyboards. The guitars support the track without taking over, while the rhythm section chugs along in the bottom end of the mix.
