Hailing from Melbourne, Torrential Thrill pilot their Aussie pub rock assault straight to the heart of social awareness on their debut album MARS.

Described by the band as “a one fingered salute to the greed and narcissism surrounding western society in the 21st century”, Torrential Thrill rail against stupidity and self-obsession through stomping tracks Take Over Me, Close Your Eyes and Inner Demons.

Musically Torrential Thrill are like a thinking person’s Airbourne, more reminiscent of The Choirboys than Rose Tattoo – there’s plenty of stomp and vigour, but also plenty of space in the tunes, rather than relentless riffing and in-your-face gregariousness.

The guitar playing throughout is tasteful and excellent, and in King Of The Road this foursome have a ready-made single if radio ever took a chance and played new rock n’ roll.
