Created by Los Angeles duo Matt Holloway and Michelle Davis, Eat Like You Give A Fuck is a vegan cookbook like none other.
Foul mouthed and militantly healthy, the Thug Kitchen pair show how bloody simple it is to make quick, healthy meals that are environmentally sustainable and just goddamned nourishing.
Covering equipment and technique basics before delivering affordable, simple to prepare recipes that provide an infinitely healthier and rewarding alternative to buying a fat and preservative-laden takeaway.
From Maple Granola, Breakfast Greens and Whole Wheat Banana Pancakes, through to simple lunch options Almond Caesar Salad, Tempeh and Garlic Sandwiches, Ginger Mushroom Summer Rolls and super-quick 5-spice Fried Rice with Sweet Potatoes, all the way up to a Warm the Fuck Up Minestrone, Mushroom & Spinach Lasagne, Squash & Black Bean Enchiladas and Roasted Beer & Lime Cauliflower Tacos, the recipes all impress with their simple, clean flavours, instructions and colourful photographs.
Don’t worry, sweet toothed readers, desserts are included as well, with Strawberry Shortcake, Carrot Cake Cookies, Blueberry Walnut Lavender Scones and even a dairy-free coconut-based whipped cream recipe all set to get you rushing through the savoury options.
Truth be told, although dedicated carnivores will be unlikely to turn their backs on a juicy steak, there is so much variety on offer here that it’s impossible for anyone to not find a few new favourites to try for a change if they’re being honest.
