A short review for a short EP – just three tracks of raw, blistering, garage blues that sound like the unholy alliance of The White Stripes and The Allman Brothers Band.
A two piece led by the distinctive guitar sound of Paul M, lately of The Jet 65, 100 Watt Vipers are all feel and groove, stompingly loud and full of power and blue collar pain. D J Riddick, also of The Jet 65, provides vocals and primal drums to great effect.
Travellin’ Shoes, Doing The Best I Can and Black Mountain Holler are raucously authentic slabs of riff-led southern blues that shit all over most modern music effortlessly. Getchu some.
