New York City’s resident 70’s punk-stylized quartet, Wyldlife, have announced a summer tour, with dates across the U.S. and Canada!  The band recently released their sophomore full-length, The Time Has Come To Rock & Roll on April 16th, 2013. Produced by Tuk of Atlanta’s Biters, the album has already received rave reviews from fans and critics alike in. Kicking off the tour on June 20th at the Bovine Sex Club in Toronto, ON, the band will be spreading the old school spirit of rock ‘n’ roll across the country through July. Full tour dates listed below. Check out “Saturday Night” off the newest release here: http://bit.ly/12KQYVO.

Joining Feldman, Wyldlife is composed of Samm Allen (Guitar), Spencer Alexander (Bass) and Russ Barrnett (Drums). Still digging on their collection of 70’s punk and power pop, the members of this band were perhaps born into the entirely wrong decade altogether. Or perhaps they realize that to get an audience on its feet, all that’s needed is a fast beat and a loud melody – a timeless simplicity enhanced with refined grit that has (nearly) been lost in today’s clutter of mainstream rock boredom. With an insanely kinetic live show that has been compared to Iggy & The StoogesThe Hives and The Ramones, it seems that all ground is covered. The gang is onto something bigger and wants to take you along for the ride.

Their first self-titled release had attracted the attention of several year’s top 10 lists, an interview on WFMU, a well-attended month long tour and two music videos. Steering far clear of a sophomore slump, Wyldlife packed up their van and headed to Atlanta to record the more-than-appropriately titled, The Time Has Come to Rock & RollNeither the country air nor the fact that this was their first time working with a producer (Tuk, of Biters fame) brings the boys out of their comfort zone, and if it does, well, it certainly doesn’t show.

The result is 32 minutes of boot-stomping, hand clapping, catchy riff-raff that carries larger and longer than their self-titled release without wavering from the style and sound that got them to this point. Before the album’s official release, the single, “Saturday Night,” was endorsed by Little Steven’s Underground Garage as “The Coolest Song in the World of the Week” and has since been syndicating all over the Sirius XM airwaves. Yes indeed, the time has come.
