THEATRICAL HARD ROCKERS INCURA ANNOUNCE HEADLINING CANADIAN TOUR IN ADVANCE OF SELF-TITLED ALBUM DEBUT
(New York, NY) – Canadian hard rock lovers will soon get to experience the theatrical hard rock that is Incura when they tour their homeland in advance of the release of their debut self-titled album. Incura has been confirmed for a headlining Canadian trek beginning in mid-January, 2013, which will also feature fellow countrymen Six Side Die and 40 Sons on select dates. Six Side Die is the new band of Brian Crouch, the former frontman of Juno-nominated rockers Hail The Villain. Please see below for confirmed tour dates; more dates will be announced shortly. In addition, Incura will make their first-ever appearance at this year’s Canadian Music Fest in Toronto in March; more details on their performance to be announced.
With a dramatic sound that is as much Iron Maiden as it is Queen and an exotic name to boot, Incura embodies an incredibly unique array of musical influences – from metal to prog rock with elements of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Phantom Of The Opera” thrown in for good measure (lead singer Kyle Gruninger has his roots in professional theatre). The Vancouver-based band will release their self-titled full-length debut album in North America on February 26th, 2013 via Coalition Music and Warner Music Canada. Click here to get a taste of Incura with the lyric video for the track, “I’m Here Waiting” from their forthcoming album.
Creating their moniker by combining the name of a previous band with that of a spell from the Final Fantasy games, Incura was formed in a small Canadian city in the Prairies a few years ago and has already toured with the likes of Stone Temple Pilots, Shinedown and Apocalyptica. Their sound is compelling, featuring epic arrangements, powerful crescendos and pristine musicianship. Incura is Kyle Gruninger (vocals), Jim McLaren (keys), Jono Olson (bass), Royce Whittaker (guitar) and Phil Gardner (drums).
