BIRDS OF TOKYO ANNOUNCE SPECIAL ‘THIS FIRE’ EP SHOWS AND UNVEIL NEW VIDEO DIRECTED BY KRIS MOYES

With the inferno infused release of ‘This Fire’ EP today, Birds Of Tokyo’s first new music in over two years, the group announce two very special live shows for December 2012.

Birds Of Tokyo will play Ormond Hall, Melbourne on Wednesday December 5 and The Annandale Hotel, Sydney on Friday December 7 with tickets on sale at 9.00am Friday October 12 via the band’s official website, www.birdsoftokyo.com. Fans will need to join www.birdsoftokyo.com mailing list before midnight Wednesday October 10 for exclusive password to purchase tickets.

“It feels like it’s a bit of a restart on this record. We’ve by no measure come full circle but we’ve definitely hit a place where we have found a new launch pad for who we are musically and the idea of this band,” said singer, Ian Kenny. “We’ve been quite restless knowing that the music we have worked on and lived with for the last year or so is about to come to life, it’s an exciting time for us”.

At Australian radio now, ‘This Fire’ EP is now available as a download bundle, physical CD and limited edition 10″ vinyl.

Also unveiled today, the Kris Moyes (Grizzly Bear, Sia, Beck, Franz Ferdinand, The Rapture) directed video for ‘This Fire’. Check it out below:
