What can I say – P!nk is definitely one of my guilty pleasures. The real problem is that is isn’t really a guilty pleasure when the new disc is that damn good. P!nk has really cut loose again on this disc. Just when you think she has pushed every button possible, she takes control and pushes herself and her music further.
There are several catchy tracks on this disc. Opener “Are We All We Are” is another collaboration with Butch Walker so it is thumbs up in my book. Lead Single “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)” is another real winner, but the real checkered flag here is “Slut Like You.” With lyrics like “And they think we fall in love, but that’s not it, just wanna get some,” it is a fun song, to listen to and sing along. Other tracks are just as fun, like “Beam Me Up” and “Walk Of Shame.”.
Other stand outs are “Just Give Me A Reason” featuring Nate Reuss and “Here Comes The Weekend” featuring Detroit bad boy Eminem. There is another duet of sorts featuring Lily Rose Cooper, “True Love.” Most of the tracks are great party and dance tracks, but even the slow tempo disc closer “The Great Escape” is a killer tune.
Thumbs up once again P!nk. I am not sure how you keep them coming, but as long as they are, I will keep listening.
