I have been passionate about capturing live music for as long as I can remember. Even before I got my first DSLR 10 years ago, I would be in the thick of the crowd, with either a disposable or point and shoot camera at hand documenting the live experience of my favourite bands.

For the past decade I have had the opportunity (Thanks to our editor Shane) to photograph some amazing artists and the experience gleaned from all of these shows has been invaluable in progressing my skill set as a live music photographer.

I approach each show with the ultimate goal of immortalising the excitement and energy of a performance so that anyone who was there, can re-live that experience with the hope that their memories will be preserved alongside the images.

It’s also pretty damn cool to get up close and personal with some of your favourite bands too
