Contributor – Kassidy Rae

Catch me jamming to Mötley Crüe or rewatching Fast Times at Ridgemont High on a lazy Sunday. Born and raised in a small town outside of Peoria, Illinois, I’ve always had a deep-rooted love for music. Even as a kid, I was mesmerized by the jazz station playing in the car. In first grade, Fantasia sealed the deal, I knew music was my calling. I joined the school band in 7th grade with a beat-up old trumpet and by high school I was all in wind ensemble, marching band, and, of course, jazz. My parents weren’t musical, but they did raise me right – with classic rock blasting in the background. I have vivid memories headbanging to Pat Benatar in the backseat. I picked up a camera in high school and quickly fell in love with capturing moments. These days, I’m a concert photographer and writer with a serious love for loud guitars and smoky stage lights. There’s nothing like freezing those high-energy, emotional moments on stage. All the sweat, the solos, and the crowd connection. Whether I’m shooting arena rock legends or fresh new acts, I’m there to visually tell the story and share the raw energy of live music with others. It’s more than a job – it’s the best seat in the house. To see my live coverage on 100% Rock, follow this LINK.
