Contributor – James Zambon

Hey, James here! I’m a photographer and lifelong music fan currently based in St. Petersburg, Florida, but originally from the music haven of New Orleans. I’ve always loved music, especially live performances. I guess I was spoiled pretty early on by a wealth of options for amazing music and have been constantly searching for more great music and shows ever since. I love it all, from sweaty punk shows in parking lots to huge stadium productions. I love capturing the vibe and energy that makes live music unforgettable. I’m a musical omnivore — I’ll listen to just about anything. Whether it’s rock, metal, jazz, classical, dance, or EDM, I’m always curious to see how musicians bring their sound to life on stage. That curiosity keeps me consistently coming back for more. Covering live concerts is the perfect blend of my two biggest passions: photography and music. I’ve played several instruments over the years; primarily, I’m a (admittedly mediocre) bedroom guitarist. But this experience gives me a unique appreciation for the dynamics of a live show, from the subtle interplay between bandmates to the rush of nailing a solo. It’s a thrill to capture those moments on camera and tell the story of the evening — the energy, the drama, the memories — through images and a narrative that make you feel like you’re right there at the show.
