I’m Stu. I like music A LOT and I currently play guitar and sing for Nevsky Prospekt along with doing covers to pay for my exorbitantly expensive hobby and other passion: Photography.

Ever since I started going to see live bands in my teens I have always wanted to capture the passion and energy of my favourite bands on stage. I started out using Kodak disposables, to then using a Canon IXUS point and shoot and eventually got my first DSLR 3 years ago – the Canon 1100D. Once I got familiarised with this model and I saw how much more detailed my shots were turning out, my passion for live music photography intensified. I set out to really improve my skills and shot as many local gigs as I could. This kind of experience was invaluable for me and held me in good stead when I eventually got the chance (from all-round legend Shane Pinnegar) to start shooting international bands.
