DARK UNIVERSE announce Into The Black album launch

Dark Universe is proud to announce the official Into The Black album launch at Perth’s Badlands Bar on Saturday, April 28, 2018. Special guests include Darkyra and Jackson Koke.

Following on from Jaime Page’s Dark Universe album, the brand new and hugely anticipated Into The Black opus will take you on a journey into sonic nirvana. Into The Black traverses a deep range of ethereal and emotional soundscapes inspired by classic rock masters like Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin but with a cutting, industrial and modern edge. The dark themes continue but with a focus on a wide range of apocalyptic issues, deeply personal and yet totally universal.

The Collectors Edition CD is limited to 100 signed copies, with the deluxe package featuring a classy magazine-style lyric and photo book.

There are differences between the iTunes/Digital versions and the CD, which features extended songs that are allowed to flourish beyond their original fades, meaning that you can get the full force of the band’s creative flow.

Stay tuned for more info and keep an eye on the Dark Universe Facebook page and the official Event page for news updates.

More About Dark Universe: A majestic, epic sounding band, it features the artistry and talents of Jaime Page, Donna Greene, Craig Skelton and Michael Burn, accomplished players that take pride in stretching boundaries and defying categorization; metal, rock, pop, acoustic, industrial? Whatever the genre, they do what they will and care not for cute little boxes with labels.

Jaime has a writing credit with Brian May of Queen and has played with some of rocks more famous names including Cozy Powell and has supported Deep Purple, Judas Priest, Zakk Wylde, Motorhead with seminal Perth bands Trilogy and Black Steel.

Donna has achieved wide acclaim as one of Perth’s finest vocalists and Dark Universe gives her the stage to shine like the star she undoubtedly is. If there is any one player on Into The Black that fans will be talking about excitedly it will be Donna. She is truly amazing so watch out!

Craig Skelton – Our very own caped crusader, able to leap a rack of keyboards in a single bound and all the while playing the bass with one hand! Craig is a technically gifted and highly schooled bassist, piano, keyboardist, vocalist famous for his work with Stone Circle.

Michael Burn is our drummer of the gods. Jaime and Michael have a long history of bands they have worked together in and have and understand each other instinctively. Prepare to be impressed with Michael’s drum prowess on Into The Black where he is encouraged to shine, and shine he does. His credits include the band Chain and many more.

SPECIAL GUESTS

Darkyra – Here & Now. After a gruelling and victorious battle with breast cancer Gina returns to the stage with a very fresh sounding Darkyra. Accompanied by Kim Siragusa (Piano), her much loved songs have transformed to reflect the magic in her voice and the passion and pain of all she has endured, proving it would take much more than a twist of fate to extinguish her bright spark.

Jackson Koke are a Rock N Roll band from Perth Western Australia who burst onto the Perth rock scene in February 2016. They have grown by leaps and bounds over the past 2 years with energetic live shows featuring gnarly guitar solos, hooky singalongs, and an on stage attitude that teeters on outright danger. With their debut album Hellevator Music only mere months away from release, Jackson Koke are ready to give the Jaime Page Dark Universe fans a show to remember.

Tickets for this very special show at Badlands Bar are $20 + booking fee from Ticketbooth
