Eskimo Joe to play exclusive hometown gig playing Black Fingernails Red Wine in full

Eskimo Joe’s third studio album ‘Black Fingernails Red Wine’ was a defining collection of songs which catapulted Fremantle indie rock darlings to large scale success. Now, 13 years later, the band are proud to announce they will be performing an exclusive, intimate home town show on Friday May 10th at Fremantle Social (formerly Fly By Night Club) playing the iconic album in full with extra special guest Katy Steele.

After reissuing coloured vinyl and special edition CDs for Girl, Ghosts Of The Past and Inshalla in 2018, Eskimo Joe now announce the latest album to be given the deluxe treatment will be Black Fingernails Red Wine. A red vinyl, 2CD deluxe edition and 40-track digital versions will be released on Friday May 10 and are available for pre-order with or without a ticket to the show. The band will also be doing an exclusive signing at their home town gig!

Kav Temperley “Over the years other albums that we’ve all been incredibly proud of have come and gone, but Black Fingernails Red Wine stands out as that moment in time where the stars aligned and everyone became like one unit, all pulling in the same direction. Recreating that moment, playing the album from start to finish is going to be a very special experience for us”

Stu MacLeod “There are so many amazing memories associated with this record, but the ones that stand out the most are of us on the road, touring these songs and performing them to ever larger crowds. The songs on this record feel like a cohesive journey from start to finish; I’m so stoked that we get to perform that journey in front of an audience”

Joel Quartermain “The BFRW album was obviously a high water mark for Eskimo Joe. We had a clear idea of what we wanted the record to be and felt really confident in ourselves to be able to realise that idea. Creatively, it felt like the perfect storm. The couple of years that followed the record’s release was pretty surreal. The fan’s reaction to the record was amazing so the idea of playing it in its entirety to our people is totally exciting to us!”

Tickets for this very special one off show will be available individually and in special bundles with CD and vinyl preorders via www.eskimojoe.net and www.moshtix.com.au
