Metal Meltdown to take place at The Joint, Hard Rock Casino, Las Vegas

Rock Fuel Media are proud to announce that Metal Meltdown will take place at The Joint, Las Vegas, Nevada on May 30, 2015. The event will be filmed live and will showcase some of the biggest metal bands of that last 30-years.

Metal Meltdown

The event will kick-off a series of Metal Meltdown shows that are slated for 2015 and there’s no better place for the metal masses to congregate than the famous Joint, Hard Rock Casino Las Vegas. The venue has featured many of metal’s leading lights over the years including Slash, Guns N’ Roses, KISS and Motley Crue.

The first show will feature 80’s metal bands Skid Row, Extreme, Great White and Twisted Sister. During the show Extreme will be performing their “multi-platinum selling album ‘Pornograffiti in its entirety, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the album’s release,” according to The Joint’s official listings. As aforementioned, the performances will be recorded and will be released in a 3D format across cinemas in the United States as well as via DVD, CD and the performances will be aired on television at some point during 2015.

The shows are due to be produced by Rock Fuel Media’s very own Barry Summers. Many will be familiar with his work as he was the man behind the legendary Guns N’ Roses: Appetite for Destruction Hard Rock Las Vegas DVD.

The Metal Meltdown shows will reaffirm the Hard Rock’s stance on pushing their live music side of the business globally. Many media publications have covered the plight of casinos in the United States over the last couple of year with gaming establishments have taken huge hits mainly down to the rise of online gaming in the country regardless of Black Friday’s implications. Thus, businesses like Hard Rock have had to evolve with the market they are in to survive.

Casinos began seeing profits drop when the pioneering InterCasino became the first wagering casino portal to be successfully launched online. Now there are literally thousands, and it has affected how casinos market themselves to the consumer – many looking at alternative revenue streams to stay afloat. And ultimately that’s what has saved a brand such as Hard Rock during uncertain times. Hard Rock has a multifaceted business model, which means it appeals to a wide audience and the brand is now a global mainstay.
