Every year that passes this event gets better and better, and this year was the best ever. A team of decorators created the environment with close attention to detail, the scene was set.

VIP’s arrived an hour ahead of the masses for Meet & Greet with guitarist Sin Quirin from US Alternative/Industrial Rock band Ministry. In addition to the usual chats, merch and pics with Sin, he entertained the select few with an intimate guitar showcase of his previous work with Ministry, set to a back track it was a excellent experience. This was his first time in Perth and suggested the band may return the following year for a national tour. On this occasion he was guest DJ for the prime time slot for the hundreds of Goth ravers and heavily made up Halloween guests. The crowd’s costumes get more extreme with each event.

The event is divided on to 2 floors. The basement where the DJ’s spin hours of Alternate tunes, along side various entertaining dancers, fire dancers and other crazy stuff. Its not easy to drag yourself away from the huge dance floor for the Live Music the floor above.

The night started with Perth’s own Deadspace, who played their set to a packed room, the intensity of a rocking night started with them, with vocalist Chris dropping into the audience for part of the set, so much fun.

Witchgrinder played a solid set with the new line up, they sounded even better than the last time they came over 2 years ago. Travis Everett is a talented writer and performer, back to back thrash type industrial metal tracks with their own unique spin. Again the room remained packed during their set, Sin Quirin joining them on stage to play a version of Ministry’s ‘Just One Fix’ – no one could deny that that was the highlight of the night- just wow.

Perth’s Sparrow, finished the night of loud live music, and they totally rocked their set. Playing a couple of New release teasers for the crowd, sounds like there constant evolution and progression will attract a brand new generation of fans, keep your ears open. Intense Industrial Metal, heavily guitar driven tracks with massive drum and bass sound and Sean Hendry’s vocal diversity will capture your attention on recording or live.

INCURSION is Perth’s Best Alternate Event, the amount of effort that goes into setting the scene, the entertainment options and the guest’s presentation efforts, virtually guarantees a fun experience – get on it.
