Buckcherry brought their tour to Soaring Eagle Casino in Mount Pleasant on a cold and blustery Friday night.  With a tour looming opening for Michigan favorite Kid Rock and a new disc ready to drop in February, the band was relentless in making the stage theirs.  From the moment the lights went down at 10:10 pm., the band ran through most of the rock gems in their catalog, even slowing down along the way to throw in a couple ballads.  Lead singer Josh Todd commanded the stage with his presence and vocals.  When he opens his mouth, you know you are about to be rocked.  Lead guitarist Keith Nelson stuck to his side of the stage and did was he does best – play guitar.  Jimmy “Two Fingers” Ashhurst was in the zone laying down some of the sexiest grooves to grace the concert hall.  Guitarist Stevie D was all over his side of the stage with guitar wizardy and smiles galore.  Referred to as “The X Factor,” Xavier Muriel kept perfect time and kept the crowd in check with his thunderous drums.  Near the end of the set, the band played the latest single, “Gluttony” from its upcoming disc, ‘Confessions.’  From the first notes of “Ridin” until the lights came up after the last notes of “Onset,” the band rocked the hell out of the crowd and sent them home content in the fact that they just saw one of the best shows of the year.

SETLIST: Ridin’ – Rescue Me – All Night Long – Broken Glass – Everything – Sorry – It’s A Party – Next To You  Lit Up – Gluttony – Imminent Bailout – Carousel – Crazy Bitch – Bliss – Onset

Vince Neil brought his A-Game when he hit the stage a little after 8:30 p.m.  Vince was all over the stage.  He jumped, ran, sang, and entertained the crowd.  The band – Dana Strum (bass), Jeff “Blando” Bland (guitar), and Zoltan Chaney (drums) – was on fire.  As Vince ran through the typical Motley Crue hits, his voice sounded really good and he seemed to be happy in front of the capacity crowd that braved the cold and snow to see the show.  The Crue tracks had a little different vibe to them, but they sounded great with Vince singing his ass off, were played well by the band, and the crowd sang along to every one of them.  Playing only one track, “Tattoos & Tequila” from his latest solo disc, the crowd didn’t waiver and seemed to soak up the music and party atmosphere.  Closing with arguably the most recognized Crue songs, Vince kept the audience on their feet until the last note was played.

SETLIST: Live Wire – Dr. Feelgood – Piece Of The Action – Tattoos & Tequila – Home Sweet Home – Don’t Go Away Mad – S.O.S. – Blando Medley – Kickstart My Heart – Girls Girls Girls – Wildside
