The Ivory Lies burst out of the speakers with Limousine Cuisine to open debut EP Road To Seduction with hard driving rock n’ roll, the DNA of Guns n’ Roses and more running through the foursome’s collective bloodstream.

It’s rare that we hear a debut so indebted to the glory days of rock – Liam Keaney’s vocals have a pinch of Soundgarden/Alice In Chains style grunginess to them as well as the more hairy rock n’f’n roll pedigree) that sounds so vibrant and fresh.

Cousins Liam and Oscar Keaney have dynamic riffs to spare and need so persuasion to let solos rip at every opportunity, and standouts Nothing Left (Not Even Freedom) with its barrelhouse, head-shaking riff, and Temptress, which is as sleazy as junkie-era Slash, are top notch.

Keep an ear out for these guys – they’re great, and only going to get better.
