One of the best discs to crawl across my desk lately has to be the debut release from the Florida quartet Fall To June.  Redemption” opens the disc with pounding drums and a killer riff that morphs into a chugging guitar that runs from open to close.  The vocals are spot on and give this collection a huge jump out of the gate.  “Curtain Call” opens with more fret work that just hypnotizes you before a powerful rhythm section joins in.  Once the vocals kick in, the song charges forward and gives the disc a great 1-2 punch.  “The Rain” is a different song that gives the disc depth due to its different vibe without deviating from the feel and groove of the other tracks on the disc.  The verse is rhythmic and keeps you hooked until the chorus comes across the speakers.  “Closer” opens slowly with an intro that fades in, but soon the guitars and bass take you on a ride, while the vocals and drums tag along for the fun.  “Unbreakable” is a cool song that takes cool pieces of other songs and seems to merge them into one well-constructed song.  The vocals add a different texture to the cloth woven by the guitars, drum, and bass.

“Super Angel” reads like a ballad, but the heavy bottom end that leads the track from open to close gives the song an edge, without being overbearing or too heavy on the rock scale.  The real bonus on this disc is the soul-filled lead vocal that enhance the verse on this song.  “Delta Breakdown” is a swamp-filled rock nugget that gives us larger than life guitar solos and riff work that builds the songs rock quotient before the verse starts.  The cool fret work adds to the songs southern feel, as do the killer vocals – which are probably the best on the disc.  “Barbwire Trees” is one of the best songs on the disc, from a lyrical standpoint.  This introspective track takes its inspiration from the vocals and builds the perfect song of apology and self-awareness.  The tempo of this track keeps it from being too mellow or relaxed.  “Chance” takes guitar riffs, adds in a little power bass, and a perfect drum pattern and mixes them up with cool vocals that dig deep with a smooth rock sound.  The disc closes out with an acoustic version of “Delta Breakdown” that unplugs the sound but not the power of the original.  It doesn’t matter which version you hear first – you are bound to love them both!
