Anyone who really knows me, knows that I am a huge fan of Black Veil Brides.  I love listening to their music (especially the last two releases) and appreciate the fact that they seemingly carry the torch for rockers who enjoy great music, a great live show, and rockers who are staying true to what they believe in.  Now they have taken the same road as other rockers and re-released their most recent disc, but are giving the fans a couple bonuses.  First is the companion DVD for their movie Legion of the Black that was an internet sensation earlier this year.  Second, and most important to me, is the addition of three previously unreleased tracks.  If you are looking for a track-by-track review of the disc, click HERE for the original review I did earlier this year when the disc was released.  I will however recap the new tracks for you.  “Revelation” is the first of the new tracks and it rocks.  From the opening note until the last, the band doesn’t let up and Andy is right there with them.  The guitars play well together and mix well with the bottom end of the bass and drums.  The music is rock – no genre, no classification – just solid rock.  The bridges and breakdowns are cool and feature some great guitar work.  “Victory Call” is more great rock with a huge guitar sound.  Dual guitars have always been a cool touch, but Jake and Jinxx make it seem like second nature.  The way they play against and with each other really enhances a track.  The vocals, lead and background, add depth to the track and help build it into something big.  “Let You Down” features some cool drumming from Christian and killer bass lines from his rhythm partner in crime Ashley.  This song rocks in BVB fashion, mixing solid rock guitar, vocals, heavy rhythm, and anthemic lyrics.  This song, and the other two new tracks, are as solid as anything on the original release and should not be considered throw away tracks or b-sides.  If you like great rock, pick this up… even if you have the original release.  These three tracks are worth the price of admission.
