Upon my arrival to FL for the winter, I couldn’t wait to get behind the my lens at Ruth Eckerd Hall to witness Bush deliver hits and other cuts as they tour to support their latest album a greatest hits package Loaded: The Greatest Hits 1994-2023.  I missed the nights kick off from Eva Under Fire but was in the house for a rousing set from direct support Bad Wolves.  Taking a hard look at their catalog, the five guys that make up the band pulled from the various releases, especially their latest Die About It.  While diverse and harder than the headliner, their music and attitude was well accepted by the crowd that ventured out on a Wednesday night.  After their rocking set, the stage was shifted for Bush and the anticipation in the venue grew as the moment arrived for the guys to hit the stage.  Pulling from most of their catalog, the band treated us to an evening of hits that pleased everyone in the place from front to back and side to side.  Set opening tandem of “Everything Zen” and “Machinehead” set the pace for the evening and got everybody wound up immediately.  Through out the evening, front man Gavin Rossdale and guitarist Chris Traynor traded licks on the guitar while bassist Corey Britz and drummer Nik Hughes perfectly anchored the set from song to song.  Other hits from the catalog dotted the evenings musical landscape, but one of my favorites was the newest track that debuted on the new hits disc “Nowhere to Go But Everywhere.”  This song fit well in the mix with other songs the band selected to use on this run of tour dates.  Before the encore, the band paired up “All Things Must Change” and “Little Things” as a rocking way to queue up everyone before closing with an amazing drop of “More Than Machines,” personal favorite “Glycerine,” and set closer “Comedown.”  This tour is hitting select cities through the end of the year, so check the dates below and grab tickets for a show near you.
