Phoenix is out on tour in support of the latest album Alpha Zulu just released June 1. The French indie rock band from Versailles continues to top the Billboard charts with the title song holding on to number 1 for two weeks in August. The band’s stop in Indy is one of twenty in the current US tour. Opening act, Porches got the night started as the crowd slowly filled in. The Egyptian Room crowd erupted as Phoenix took the stage. They opened with their classic hits “Lisztomania,” “Entertainment” and “Lasso.” Band members included lead singer Thomas Mars, Deck d’Arcy on bass, Laurent Brancowitz on lead guitar and Christian Mazzalai on rhythm guitar.
