Sheryl Crow brought her summer 2022 tour to Indianapolis on what was a perfect summer night as the heat wave finally let up. Cecilia Castleman got the evening highlighted with her fresh new single release “Lonely Nights.” Keb’ Mo’ was next up. Fifty years and 5 Grammys to his credit, the blues singer brought the crowd to their feet. After a quick set change, Sheryl Crow strolled onto the stage as the audience roared. The nine-time Grammy award winner wasted no time opening with “If It Makes You Happy.” She sounded amazing, her vocals strong, resonant and every bit as good as she was in the 90’s. She highlighted her musical talents playing acoustic, electric, bass guitars, keyboards and even harmonica throughout the set. Sheryl was accompanied by 5 talented musicians and a stage illuminated by a colorful lightshow backdrop. She was engaging, charismatic and upbeat. She joked several times about her age saying she turned 46 again this year. She complimented Indy and said she and her son enjoyed the zoo earlier in the day. Her setlist included her greatest hits, a few covers and some new material. She mentioned her documentary on Showtime showcasing her life that she reluctantly agreed to do and play a snippet on the screen. Sheryl put on great show and like a fine wine has only gotten better with age.
Setlist: If It Makes You Happy – A Change Would Do You Good – Leaving Las Vegas – My Favorite Mistake – The First Cut Is the Deepest – Strong Enough – Hard to Make a Stand – Still the Good Old Days – Forever – Live With Me – All I Wanna Do – Cross Creek Road – Soak Up the Sun – Real Gone – Everyday Is a Winding Road – I Shall Believe
