In celebration of the Florida Cracker Company’s 8th Birthday, they hosted a huge party behind the original location in Brooksville and the house band for the evenings festivities was none other than Sister Hazel.  After an opening set from local musician Dan Signor performing originals and covers, the crowd started to fill out and prepare themselves for the show that was headed their way.  With a minor introduction from FCC owner Blair, the band took their respective spots on stage and readied themselves for a party and an evening of great music.  The band was all smiles and as anxious for a good time as the crowd.  Set opener “Change Your Mind” kicked things off in the right direction and saw the band doing what they do best — playing their music their way with a lot of acoustic flair and flourish.  “Beautiful Thing” and “That Kind of Beautiful” provided a cool one-two punch on the front end of the set that had the band and fans singing, swaying, and enjoying the moment together.  You wouldn’t know from the smiles and good times being had by the crowd and band alike that you weren’t in a big arena… just goes to show music and a good time not only go hand in hand, but they are a state of mind.  Other hits and fan favorites peppered the set as the band bantered back and forth not only with each other, but including the crowd in their fun; a great moment ensued when there was a back and forth discussion related to a drone that was flying over the crowd during a song early in the set.  A couple personal highlights were “Ten Candle Days” and “Life Got In The Way,” with the formers layered lush vocals leading the charge and the latter’s representation of the bands sound that was woven into the setlist and all of its music old and new.  and the Overall a positive vibe washed over the event and put everyone in a party mood on a Wednesday night to celebrate Florida Crackers Birthday, Sister Hazel’s catalog, and just being together on a beautiful Brooksville evening.  The back to back of “Happy” and “All For You” took us out on our glory with a feel good groove that put a smile on every face and a song on every set of lips, before the encore closed out the festivities.
