Alabama native Abstract Artimus is releasing a cover of Devo’s “Ton O’ Luv” on June 19th.
Abstract Artimus strikes with a yacht rock groove, blazing guitars and blisteringly crunchy vocals on his new cover of Devo’s “Ton O’ Luv.”
Artimus first learned of Devo back in the 90’s from a redneck cousin who had acquired a cassette of Freedom Of Choice but then gave it away because he said it “didn’t sit right with his Mississippi mindset.” Artimus immediately knew he’d enjoy the cassette tape.
The onset of Covid-19 forced the cancellation of his entire touring schedule, so locked away in a home studio in Brooklyn NY, he’s been working on different projects including a new album, collaborations for other future releases and a slew of random material. This cover of Devo’s “Ton O’ Luv” falls into the random category and will be available on all streaming platforms June 19th.
