After a well-received opening set by local Tim Nelson, a man with music running through his veins as much as anyone ever had, it was ex-Spandau Ballet frontman Tony Hadley’s turn to tread the historic boards of The Astor Theatre.
Featuring a setlist mixing mostly Spandau Ballet favourites with tracks from his new solo album Talking To The Moon, the ever-so-stylishly besuited Hadley delighted the Perth crowd upon his long-awaited return. A spirited rendition of Queen favourite Somebody To Love was a highlight, but it was Spandau’s New Romantic classics True and Gold which brought the house down.
