Walk The Moon is yet another mainstream band that has left me impressed after seeing them live. The band wrapped up their tour at the Mill & Mine in Knoxville, TN in front of a sold out crowd full of colorful face-painted fans who were dancing and singing along all night. Bear Hands kicked off the show with mellow indie tunes. Their setlist included “2 AM,” “Giants,” “Back Seat Driver,” and their latest single “Blue Lips,” where Ursula Rose came out on stage to perform with the band. Walk The Moon even made a special appearance during their set to have some fun on the last day of tour. There was definitely a bittersweet vibe from the bands and crew throughout the night.

After the crew changed over the stage, the lights shut off and “Circle of Life” from The Lion King blared through the venue. Walk The Moon came out on stage to a roar from the crowd and started off their set with “Lisa Baby.” Their setlist spanned a whole 18 songs from their career, including recognizable hits like “Different Colors,” “One Foot,” “Kamikaze,” “Shut Up and Dance,” and their newest song “Timebomb.” Frontman Nicholas Petricca was energetic all night, dancing and interacting with a crowd of adoring fans. He even mentioned that his mom was in the front row to see them. Every song received the same amount of love, but the one that surprised me was their encore, “Anna Sun.” It was almost hard to even hear Petricca’s voice over the singing crowd as Bear Hands even joined them on stage one last time. Walk The Moon is already on the road again with Muse on the Simulation Tour, which is a huge step in their career. It felt special to be able to see Walk The Moon on the Mill & Mine’s stage before they inevitably skyrocket into headlining arena shows. I highly recommend checking them out live if the Simulation Tour comes near you, since the atmosphere really showcases their sound.
