Out supporting her fourth full-length release Lost On You, LP recently stopped in Detroit at the Majestic Theatre and gave her fans exactly what they came for… a show full of her songs from the recent release and her catalog.  With guitars, harmonica, and her amazing voice, she brought the songs to life for all to enjoy on a Sunday night in the Motor City.  Kicking the show off with “Strange” she set the mood and the pace for the evening and it only got better from there.  Grabbing a guitar, she moved us into the next track “Other People” which is also from the 2016 release.  The crowd couldn’t get enough as she strummed and sang her heart out for every body in the place – whether they were standing up against the barricade or taking in the show from the back reaches of the main floor area.  Refocusing her attention to the mic for the next track, “Tightrope” can floating through the sound system as if it were strolling above the crowd there to see LP perform tonight.  Watching and listening to her perform songs from the last release – I think she played just about everything from the disc – as well as some older material from “Forever For Now”, I couldn’t help but order the latest release for my own collection – these songs resonated with me, as did her delivery.  This artist knows what she likes, knows what her fans want, and somehow was able to find middle ground and deliver on all points tonight.  Here’s hoping she can keep tonight’s momentum and deliver more new tunes and another tour to satisfy her fans… new and old.
