Max is a funny kid – the class clown, you might say – but his teacher, sports-mad Mr Armstrong, just thinks he’s a pest. Specifically, a troublemaking pest who has done a poop in the class storeroom.
Max denies this strenuously, but Mr Armstrong doesn’t believe him, and is about to throttle him when in walks new principal Mrs Sniggles, who decides that a class president is needed to keep an eye on Mr Armstrong for her.
Max, supported (if that’s the right word) reluctantly by best mate Hugo, decides to become a candidate and the race is on – with Max in with very little hope at all, until he realises that by playing on his good natured ability to make others laugh, he may just have a chance of winning.
Funny Kid For President is cheeky and irreverent, along the lines of Diary Of A Wimpy Kid, and suitable for kids eight years and upwards.
