Ahhh the modern world is an unforgiving slave trader, bombarding us almost every minute of the day with fast food, fast living, fast diets, fast entertainment, and ever faster ways of making us forget what is important.
Reece Carter has assembled a whole book full of natural remedies for medical and other health problems which afflict us – and it’s wonderful to see how simple some of these solutions are.
Let’s never forget that Big Pharma makes billions by pumping billions of people with chemicals and placebos and – basically – crap. [My words, not Reece Carter’s, FYI]
It often seems that we – as a civilisation – have forgotten the basic tenets of nature which sustained civilisations for many thousands of years.
Self-described ‘herb nerd’ Reece Carter has a bit of a handle on the old ways, and has brought them into the now with this collection of natural remedies which not only treat allergies, colds, flus, gut ailments, and sleep disorders, but also addresses energy and libido boosters, and skin and hair health.
It’s not all easy – some of these need fermenting for a couple of weeks, and you’ll need to visit some alternative health stores for some of the necessary ingredients – but isn’t it worth it for thousands of years worth of proven health benefits and wisdom?
