Everyone knew that Motorhead was finished when Lemmy Kilmister passed away at the tail end of 2015: there’s no replacing the Godfather of modern heavy rock n’ roll, especially in his own band. Mikkey Dee quickly started rehearsals with Thin Lizzy, then joined Scorpions for a US tour, before becoming a permanent member – but no-one was quite sure what guitarist Phil Campbell would do.

Less than a year later he’s back, teaming up with his three sons – guitarist Todd, drummer Dane and bassist Tyla – and sensational rock vocalist Neil Starr for this red hot debut EP.

Produced by Todd Campbell, this is Motorhead full force metal rock n’ roll, it’s hard rock featuring Phil Campbell’s unmistakable guitar playing and a more commercial sound, veering towards Foo Fighters melodic rock at times.

Starr drives Big Mouth’s in yer face rock n’ roll; Take Time and No Turning would fit right at home on any recent Foos album, and Life In Space finished this great little EP in foot stomping acoustic mode.

Hopefully this is just an opening salvo for the band and we’ll soon hear more from Clan Campbell and Starr.
