Blackout Balter play cool indie pop rock for cool kids that reminds us a little of End Of Fashion with a musical pinch of The Strokes. Discovered by Dave Keuning of The Killers, who plays guitar and cello on several tracks, the alt rock connection is strong here.

Keys and guitars entwine in a sophisticated dance on their best tracks (Marionette, My Cambridge, Hello Operator) on this EP, and the X piece temper their cool sound with an ‘80s-like genre-defiance, ensuring they have the potential to appeal to a crossover audience of rockers, hipsters and indie kids.
