Think you’ve seen every twist possible on the JFK assassination story via countless documentaries and dramas between 1963 and now? Think again.

This eight-part mini-series, executive produced by J J Abrams amongst others, and based on a best-selling novel by Stephen King, features the most intriguing twist of all.

James Franco’s high school teacher Jake Epping is convinced by friend Al Templeton (Chris Cooper, outstanding as always) to enter a time portal in his diner closet, transporting back to 1960, and use the next three years to work out who really did kill Kennedy, and stop his murder.

Even more fascinating, the past does not want to be changed, and starts to push back, more and more violently, especially when he does anything which has the potential to change the future.

Fantastic writing and superb performances combine with excellent direction and fascinating twists and turns to ensure this is one of the must-see shows of 2016.
