Kung Fu Panda 3 movie

A quick flick through the credits of Kung Fu Panda 3 would lead you to believe this is one Hollywood blockbuster of an action movie, such is the star talent on display, but to be brutally honest, Jack Black as Po, the panda Dragon Warrior, does all the heavy lifting for the good guys, and the talents (and pay packets) of Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogan and Lucy Liu are completely wasted so much that an extra could have handled their roles just as well.

That aside, the latest instalment in the Kung Fu Panda saga is another good-natured romp through ancient China with a warm and fuzzy feel-good message at the end.

Po embarks on his greatest adventure yet: travelling to a secret panda village with his long-lost Dad (Bryan Cranston) to learn the mystical secrets of Chi in order to defeat the evil master Kai (J K Simmons), recently returned from the spirit realm on a quest to subjugate the mortal world.

Whilst this effort may not have all the humour and charm of the first film, there’s still a fair share of laughs and feel-good moments as Po learns to be a teacher, discovers how to be himself, and sends the bad guy back to the spirit world where he belongs.
