ROCK MONSTERS : Hard Rock, Punk + Metal Album Tribute Series at the Astor Lounge

Borne by a small collective of likeminded local musicians who are keen to celebrate the joy and amazing music of some of the best hard rock, punk and metal albums the Rock Monster series launches with an initial short run of shows from late Jan into Feb 2015 featuring fortnightly Sat shows at the Astor Lounge.(Mt Lawley)

SAT 31 JAN – 1987 — Whitesnake as performed by SNAKEBITE
featuring Ryan Rafferty (Proud Mary, Ragdoll), Leon Todd (Ragdoll), Chris Gibbs (Graphic Fiction Heroes), Kim Siragusa (Slippery When Wet), Troy Nababan (The Tea Set), Josh Gallagher (CG and The Transmission)

Back with a brand new line-up for 2015 featuring several WA music luminaries, SNAKEBITE will thrill audiences with their live performance of Whitesnake’s iconic self-titled album, known lovingly by fans as ’the 1987 album’. Hear Still Of the Night, Here I Go Again, Is This Love, Crying in the Rain and more, including a special ‘best of’ set after the album performance.

SAT FEB 14 – Hysteria – Def Leppard as performed by RUN RIOT
featuring Andy Smith (BabyJane), Chris Gibbs (Graphic Fiction Heroes, CG and The Transmission), Matt Geary (The Ghost Hotel, The Nordeens), Josh Gallagher (CG and The Transmission), Luke Gallagher (Smooth Intentions)

Including members of respected local original acts, RUN RIOT – A TRIBUTE TO DEF LEPPARD is taking on the challenge of performing Def Leppard’s most successful album ‘Hysteria’ live in its entirety. Add to this a ‘best of’ set featuring additional Def Leppard classics such as Photograph, Let’s Get Rocked, and Rock Of Ages, this is a hard rock night not to be missed.

SAT FEB 28 – Dynasty – KISS as performed by KISSTAKE
featuring Bob Gordon (local legendary music scribe), Chris Gibbs (Graphic Fiction Heroes, CG and The Transmission), Craig Skelton (Stone Circle), Josh Gallagher (CG and The Transmission)

Having celebrated the KISS legacy for many years KISSTAKE bring their trademark good time vibes to the Astor Lounge to celebrate the classic album Dynasty in its entirety plus some surprise extras to boot
