June 27, 2013 – (Burbank, CA) – NYC melodic punks SKATERS have announced that they will hit the road with British rock band Palma Violets for an action-packed, not-to-be-missed nationwide U.S. tour that begins Sept 15th, and impacts the west coast mid-Oct.

Most recently, Michael Ian Cummings, Noah Rubin, and Joshua Hubbard, have been tearing up U.K. Stages where fan and critics can’t seem to get enough. Demand has been so great that SKATERS have been invited to back to perform shows and festivals all over the Continent. The U.K. media have wasted no time embracing SKATERS:

“Like the Beach Boys, who famously didn’t surf (Dennis Wilson excepted), SKATERS don’t skate… [songs] reeking of subways and steam hissing from backstreet vents with a clattering urgency . It’s the end of the world as we know it … and SKATERS feel fine.”   — The Guardian (UK daily)

“SKATERS is one of the best records to listen to at the moment, has been labeled as a “smart, dynamic punk record.”  It’s brilliant, yes, undeniably catchy.. – AAAmusic.Com (UK)

“This ain’t no cut and paste indie/pop record label creation. No, no, no….you know they’ve got to be good….and indeed they are an eclectic mix of gritty and reverberated guitars, unusual percussion, pleasantly lax vocals and an incessantly catchy anthems…that’s all part of the charm.” – TheHotBox.Com (UK)

SKATERS recently wrapped up a support tour with their Warner Music Group label-mates Portugal. The Man. They will make a triumphant return to their home base of New York City by headlining the Bowery Ballroom in Manhattan on July 19th. They will spend their summer holidays touring overseas with stops at several European festivals, including Reading and Leeds in the UK and Rock en Seine in Paris, followed by a series of UK club shows. This fall’s tour with The Palma Violets will be one of the most electrifying of the year.  Don’t miss SKATERS on tour this summer and fall.
