Anyone who knows me, knows that really catchy pop music is one of my guilty pleasures.  For someone who loves all the heavy stuff, who would have thought this would end up on my radar?  It is more on my radar, as it is now on my PC, iPhone, and part of my playlist when working out and running.  “Remix (I Like The)” is an infectious tune that hooks you from the beginning.  The beat is all dance and high energy, while the trade-off between Donnie Wahlberg and Joey McIntyre create a sonically different sound in the lead vocals.  The vocals tell the story of the wall flower that blossomed quite nicely, or as the lyrics state, “She went from wall paper to heart breaker.”  The chorus is catchy and keeps the song moving between verses.  The video is also very cool and splices the story along with performance video of the guys performing this track at a party of sorts.  If this is any indication, the pop sensibility may have matured a bit, but it hasn’t gotten old by any means.
