(11 December, 2012 – (New York City, NY)   Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society, Ex-Ozzy Osbourne), Morgan Rose (Sevendust, Call Me No One), Kevin Martin (Candlebox, The Gracious Few), John “JD” Deservio (Black Label Society, Cycle Of Pain) and New Yorkers, The Infinite Staircase will be teaming up to write and record a song in an effort to help raise money for the victims of Hurricane Sandy
Architekt Music, the state of the art recording facility where Sevendust recently tracked ‘Black Out The Sun’ and The Infinite Staircase continue to record their new album, located in Butler, New Jersey, has, along with recording engineer Mike Ferretti, graciously agreed to donate their services to help make this project come to fruition.
The song will be released, as an iTunes exclusive, via Vanity Music Group on 8 January 2013.
Each musician involved in this project has very close ties to the New York and Jersey area, having either grown up there, having very close friends and family who currently live there, or in the cases of JD DeServio and Lenny and Jeff Cerzosie of The Infinite Staircase, still residing in the storm damaged areas.
This storm has touched the lives of so many…Everyone’s hearts are in the right place.
Heading into the studio this week, expect more details on this project and its release to be announced shortly.
Zakk Wylde and John “JD” DeServio just came off a very successful run of shows in both Canada and South America with Black Label Society who have recently announced that a new DVD, titled ‘Unblackened’ will be recorded in 2013. JD has also been producing projects on the side as well as continuing work on the next Cycle Of Pain album.
Kevin Martin has been touring non-stop with Candlebox in support of their most recent release, ‘Love Stories And Other Musings,’ with plans to continue touring in support of the album in 2013 as well as the possibility of releasing new material with The Gracious Few, his other project with fellow Candlebox cohort Sean “Memphis” Hennesy and Chad Taylor, Chad Gracey and Patrick Dahlheimer of Multi-Platinum band Live.
Morgan Rose certainly has had his hands full in 2012 forming a new project with fellow Sevendust brethren Clint Lowery, called Call Me No One, whose debut album, ‘Last Parade’ was released June 5th on 7Bros Records which was followed by a tour as well as a Sevendust tour. Rose has also had his hand involved with producing many projects, not to mention writing and recording a brand new Sevendust record, ‘Black Out The Sun,’ which is set to be released on March 26th, 2013.
The Infinite Staircase has been busy recording their first new album of original material, since 2009’s ‘The Road Less Taken,’ with Morgan Rose (Sevendust, Call Me No One) producing and playing drums on it as well as recording a collection of cover songs with John “JD” DeServio (Black Label Society, Cycle Of Pain) titled ‘The Dead Cricket Sessions,’ both expected to be released some time in the beginning of 2013. In addition to Rose, the album of new material also features collaborations with Black Label Society & Cycle Of Pain’s JD DeServio, Sean “Memphis” Hennesy of Candlebox and The Gracious Few as well as Troy Cromwell from Cycle Of Pain. The band promises more collaborations to be announced in the near future.
