Young Guns Hit No. 1 on Kerrang’s 250 Best Rock Songs of 2012

Los Angeles, CA (December 3, 2012) – British rock magazine Kerrang! has awarded Young Guns’ “Bones” the No. 1 spot on its list of the “250 Greatest Rock Songs of 2012.” It’s the latest in a string of impressive feats for the track, which continues to burn up the airwaves on this side of the pond, cracking the top 20 at rock radio while its companion video has amassed more than 1.2 million YouTube views. It’s worth noting that Young Guns are the only new breakout artists on the top 20 at rock radio.

The UK buzz band will be performing “Bones” and other fan favorites from Wind-up Records debut BONES during their first-ever string of US headlining shows, set to kick off December 3 inBaltimore (see itinerary below). The US tour follows the band’s recent stint headlining the Vans Off The Wall Tour overseas.

Over the course of the past few years, the London-based quintet (vocalist Gustav Wood, guitarists Fraser Taylor and John Taylor, bassist Simon Mitchell and drummer Ben Jolliffe) has emerged as one of the UK’s most electrifying new bands, garnering heavy radio play and UK chart success, while playing to packed-house crowds all across Europe, including a main stage performance at the Reading Festival, where they tore up the stage as part of a lineup that included Arcade Fire, Queens of the Stone Age, Guns N’ Roses and Modest Mouse.

New album BONES has already achieved critical acclaim overseas, with Q Magazine and Kerrang! each giving it four stars and the latter writing that the album sees the band “giving themselves the best shot possible of taking on all comers and winning.” BONES and its title track have also been nominated for “Best Album” and “Best Single” as part of this year’s 2012 Kerrang! Awards.
