Last night, Regina Spektor kicked off her Australia & New Zealand tour with a positively mesmerising performance at Auckland’s Town Hall. Her unique brand of idiosyncratic pop music filled the room, leaving fans and critics alike begging for more:

‘Her voice soared through the room with only a cello for company on the mesmerising Ode to Divorce, and the bluesy soul of How proved just how good this woman is.’ –

Accompanied by a drummer, keyboardist and cello player across the evening, Spektor shone just as bright when sharing the stage with just her faithful grand piano.

The impeccable performer treated her Auckland audience to songs from her extensive back catalogue of masterpieces as well as tracks from her latest release, What We Saw From The Cheap Seats (out now through Warner Music). Spektor even transported the audience back to her homeland with the stunning Russian song, ‘The Prayer’.

Spektor lands on Australian shores this week to continue what is set to be a phenomenal tour. Her intuitive performances capture audiences in a series of piano notes, fanciful phrases and hand claps.

With Spektor’s two performances at the Sydney Opera House already sold out and tickets to the remainder of the tour selling swiftly, best be quick to snap up your set to watch this enchanting songstress at work.
