NIVEA CONTEST WILL GIVE ONE LUCKY MUSCIAN THE CHANCE OF A LIFETIME

| 7 December 2012 | Reply

WHAT:  NIVEA is offering one lucky musician the break of a lifetime through its first-ever contest to support aspiring musical talent.  Spotlighting nine up-and-coming YouTube sensations, the contest will give the artist with the most video views the opportunity to sing his/her heart out on one of the world’s largest stages on New Year’s Eve – NIVEA’s Kiss Stage in the heart of Times Square.

HOW:  Through a partnership with Sony/ATV’s We Are The Hits YouTube network, nine artists submitted their rendition of the hit pop song, “This Kiss,” with hopes of performing it in front of more than one million people at the world’s largest New Year’s Eve celebration in New York’s Times Square.

Fans can support their favorite artist by logging on to NIVEA’s Facebook page and viewing the artist’s music video.  Each view counts as a vote, bringing the rising star one step closer to the performance of a lifetime.  The artist with the most video views by December 14th will be named the winner.

WHO:  NIVEA artists include: Ali Brustofski – Alyssa Bernal – Andy Kirk – Caitlin Hart – Erika David – Tiffany Alvord – Jake Coco – Joseph Vincent – Savannah Outen

WHY:   For the fifth year in a row, NIVEA will “paint” Times Square— the epicenter of the world’s New Year’s Eve celebrations —  blue as the official sponsor of the Times Square Alliance’s New Year’s Eve Celebration. NIVEA Lip Care, the #1 lip care brand in the world, offers more than 15 moisturizing lip care products that all make kisses better. It’s only fitting for NIVEA to sponsor one of the most important kisses of the year at the world’s largest New Year’s Eve celebration.
